Chrysomelid urn

This is a ceramic urn in the shape of a cocoon, like my well-known series of cocoons. This urn has an opening at the back with a ceramic stopper that allows it to be opened and closed. This urn takes its name from its source of inspiration: the green gold-beetle. Nature is a marvellous thing, and all those tiny, extraordinary creatures in particular are an inexhaustible source of shapes and colours. All my works are made entirely by hand by me from start to finish. I hand-shape each one individually and do not use moulds, so every piece is completely unique.
