I handle the data of visitors to this website with care. Below you can read, briefly and clearly, what is collected, why, and what your rights are. Questions? Please get in touch via the contact page or email info@ninegrooters.com.

No cookies

This website places no cookies on visitors' devices and uses no Google Analytics or similar services.

Visitor statistics

To see which works and pages are viewed most, I count visits anonymously, without cookies. For each page viewed or photo enlarged, the following is stored:

  • which page or photo it was, and the date;
  • which website you came from (for example Instagram or a search engine);
  • the country, derived from your browser's time zone (not from your IP address);
  • your browser language and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer).

To count visitors per day, a code is made from your IP address and browser using a secret key that is replaced every day. Your IP address itself is not stored, and after that day the code can no longer be linked to you or to earlier visits. This data is deleted automatically after 13 months.

Contact form and course sign-up

When you send a message or sign up for the ceramics course, your name, email address and message are emailed to me. I only use them to reply to you or to arrange the course. They are not stored on the website.

To stop the forms from being misused to send large numbers of messages, the website remembers a code made from your IP address for one hour after you send a form (this one, the course sign-up or the newsletter). The code is kept only in the server's working memory, not in a database, and your IP address itself is not stored.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, you first receive an email to confirm your subscription. After that I keep your email address (and your name, if you fill it in) to send you the newsletter. Every newsletter is sent to you separately, so other readers don't see your address. Each one contains a link to unsubscribe with one click; your details are then deleted. Subscriptions that are not confirmed are deleted after a week.

Your rights
