Zeewind urn

This ceramic urn is the first urn I ever made and also the one that set the whole process in motion. I created this urn on commission for my own late grandfather. Together with my grandmother, I discussed what we both felt would suit Grandad in terms of colour, shape and so on. Together, we came up with a sketch which I then developed further. For me, this has become a very important and personal piece of work, from which I have found new inspiration for my urn collection. All my pieces are made by hand by me from start to finish. I hand-shape each one individually and do not use moulds, so every piece is completely unique.
